AND BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT
Before plastic surgery, your surgeon may ask you to stop smoking and avoid blood-thin-ning medicines, anti-inflammatory drugs, and supplements that may hamper your healing process. The key to successful plastic surgery is to follow your surgeon’s instructions. If your surgeon believes it is unsuitable, listening to them is better.
Once the surgery is done, use ice compression on the area (if suggested). You may also have to keep small gauze pads, clean washcloths, and towels nearby you all the time to keep the area clean. You may feel pain and soreness for a few days. Your doctor may prescribe you OTC painkillers for a couple of days.
Based on the type of medical plastic surgery, it may take around 4-6 weeks to heal. You may have to visit your surgeon weekly or as suggested during that time.
